Important Notice 

Change of Ownership and Continuity of Care at Eastern Creek Occupational Medicine Centre 

 

Dear Patients, 

We would like to inform you of an upcoming change in the ownership and operations of Eastern Creek Occupational Medicine Centre (ECOMC). 

Effective 1 October 2026, ownership of ECOMC will transfer from Southridge Medical Centre Pty Ltd to Workforce Health Assessors Pty Ltd (WHA). WHA is a leading Australian provider of occupational health and medical assessment services, with more than 25 years of experience operating throughout Australia and New Zealand.  

Importantly, ECOMC will continue to operate from the same location and under the same business name. We anticipate minimal disruption to patients and expect all services to continue as normal. 

Transfer of Health Records  

To ensure continuity of care and the ongoing delivery of healthcare services, responsibility for the custody, management and protection of patient health records will transfer to WHA as the new owner of ECOMC. WHA will become responsible for maintaining these records and ensuring compliance with applicable privacy and health records legislation.  

Your health records may include: 

  • Medical history 

  • Clinical notes 

  • Treatment records 

  • Injury management records 

  • Pathology and imaging results 

  • Medical correspondence 

  • Other information relevant to your healthcare 

WHA will protect and manage your personal and health information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).  

If you take no action in response to this notice, your health records will remain with ECOMC and be transferred to WHA as the new owner of ECOMC. If you do not wish for your health records to be transferred to WHA, or if you have any questions, please contact us on (02) 8834 7730 or at manager@ecmed.com.au by as soon as possible. You may also request that your records be transferred to another healthcare provider by completing the attached Transfer of Records Consent Form.
